The takedown receiver is marked on the left side, "GALLERY SPECIAL". Rifle has been fitted with modern fiber optic sporting sights. Tubular mag. Receiver tang has been drilled for aperture sight. Two-piece walnut stock set. Shallow pistol grip buttstock with a crescent steel buttplate. Grooved slide handle. CONDITION: The refinished stock set has thinning, wear, staining, and scratches. The buttstock has a notable 4" crack on the top left of the pistol grip, and there is a 2" crack behind the trigger guard tang; there are several other smaller cracks as well. The worn metal is turning overall gray with patina, showing traces of blue in protected areas. Bore has worn lands, turning dark in the grooves, showing scattered fine pitting throughout.
